 Fresh, local produce

Being on the border of Dorset and Somerset, we’re spoilt for choice with the haven of good quality produce growing or being reared responsibly right on our doorstep. Our aim is to use as much of it as possible from award winning Montgomery cheddar cheese to pork comes from The Story Pig both in neighbouring villages, we wish to celebrate those who have a passion for their craft.

Fruit and vegetables are grown by a local villager. Each week we’re brought a treasure trove of freshly picked produce packed into a wheelbarrow and wheeled up to the pub, it couldn’t be fresher. What we can’t source from the village we buy from trusted suppliers based in the area.

We are also incredibly lucky to have both local beer and cider brewed right here in Corton Denham. Lawrence’s Cider can be found at the end of the village and the micro brewery, Apex Beer, literally is in the house behind the pub, both of these wonderful drinks are served at the pub, when available, and taste superb.

Eating & drinking

The Queen’s Arms has three inside dining areas, a large outdoor terrace and two private outside dining areas. Dining is a relaxed and informal affair in the main pub space as well as in our Long Dining Room, with our friendly team always ready to help. For those looking to celebrate an occasion, our private dining room can accommodate up to fourteen guests, with access to a private outdoor covered space. Guests can enjoy the comfort of having their own area and personalised service from a dedicated member of the team.

Enjoy the view on our terrace with a pint from local breweries including Apex Beer made behind the pub in a micro brewery by Alex Ferris or, or sip a local cider made by John Lawrence in the village. Our carefully selected wine list offers a range of wines from around the world and a cocktail list is also available, as well as home-made seasonal lemonades and ginger cordial.
