We ate here on three occasions in seven days, which should tell you how much we loved it. The ambience is immediately relaxed and welcoming - a country pub that isn’t trying too hard to be the genuine article. And they more than welcome dogs. The service made us feel equally at home: I must single out Anna, a young Romanian woman who took a shine to our dog and made easy conversation with us throughout our meals. A real asset to the staff. And oh, the food! Imaginative starters, nibbles, mains and desserts, all priced sensibly and making me reach for my phone to capture the sheer delight of them. On our final visit, I asked for a dessert wine and was instead offered a local ice cider. Intense, sweet and long-legged: what a way to finish our hat trick of meals!
Went here for my husbands birthday celebration as per the recommendation of the owner of Withy Hut and we were so happy we took that advice! The staff were incredibly warm and friendly. Thr ambiance was very cosy and romantic, dogs were treated well too. The food was excelent, well season and amazing flavours. The highlight dishes for us were the parmesan chicken wings, duck breast and the chicken pie. Highly recommend this place, definitely worth the drive.
The new configuration has greatly improved this lovely country pub which is well off the beaten track. Parking is a little challenging, although a charge point was welcome for EVs. We booked in advance and our table was taken but we sat at a better table so we weren't disappointed. Our waitress was lovely but a little preoccupied as the place was busy. Our meal was delicious. We had steak and fish and both were cooked to perfection. The side of bread and dip was a nice touch. You get what you pay for and although the prices are quite high it's well worth the value and a nice clientele.
Stunning! We stopped here on our long drive to Devon and what a good decision that was! The service was impeccable, the food was absolutely delicious and the setting was lovely. The Ashton Press cider was particularly good and the prawn baguette was fantastic. Do not miss this place if you are passing!
What a super overnight stay my husband and I have just enjoyed. Breaking not route from the SW to London, we stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast. All were really excellent. The pub menu was a delight to read and, following large G&Ts with snacks, our food included some very tasty crab and lemon arancini, roast lamb (him) and succulent, perfectly cooked cod with asparagus (me) and the tastiest crunchy roasted pink for potatoes in the history of potato dishes! Do not miss those! A large cheese board to finish and a light pineapple and large pud for me. Super. Our room was spacious and so well equipped. Large walk in shower (bath too if you want), a huge comfy bed with soft cotton bedding and feather duvet (I think). A very nice night’s sleep. Fresh milk for (good) tea in the morning. Breakfast was great too, but I’m being hurried to leave! Thank you!
Lovely roast dinner and pudding on Sunday, great pub with gorgeous views of the countryside and spectacular food.
Beautiful location set in an idyllic countryside village. We experienced a few issues with our stay, but the hotel resolved these very satisfactorily straight away. Thank you for your quick response it is very much appreciated and shows how professional your standards are

Dined and stayed at this absolute gem of a place tucked away in the Somerset countryside. We were welcomed warmly by Jess who showed us to our rooms, which were spacious, clean, and offering some lovely views.
Great little hidden gem in Corton Denham! Best coaching inn that we have stayed in. Comfortable tasteful rooms especially room 5. The food is very nice and always something different. The breakfast is also good with cooked and fresh toast and croissants etc compotes and cereals etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. We always stay here for a long weekend as we like visiting the town of Sherborne or en route to the West Country. We would highly recommend this lovely place.
We had a amazing meal here last night with family and friends , the food was spectacular, the mixture of flavours for both meat, fish and vegetarian , service was great also , highly recommend
